MYBand MyMusic – Hyderabad 26th September @ Rock Heights

In the maiden concert organized by MyBand team, the show to be written and expressed in words will surely not bring the spirit , enthusiasm and the level of heights of this concert touched on Saturday 26th Sept.

Neither the rains nor the India Pak match could keep the crowd away from this unique concert which flowed well past mid-night spreading awesome music from eight different bands traveling from eight diff region of India.

Featuring 8 Top bands of India, The show started with Ek- From Bangalore on Stage with their true style of Hindustani Fusion set piece. Jeetenge and Dabaari Jam were truly a treat to the the audience which had started getting into the venue. Slowly Ek’s performance mesmerized the audience, with Shashank’s classical musical touch reaching one of the best ever LIVE performance by the Band.

Ek was followed by Shor Bazar – An emerging band from Pune with KK on Bass, JD on Lead vocals , Joy on Lead Guitar. Their originals Savaita Bhabhi etc were not in the regular Hindi Rock, but their content truly can be described as “New Age Hindi Alternative”. JD’s energy on stage and his crowd interactions with onstage jokes with his band was truly a hit.

Prosody from Pune followed next, with Alternative Rock in English being the main stage. They sang their originals Andy and Abhay on lead were awesome duo who kept the crowd jumping for more.

Almost September The local young band from Hyderabad was next on stage with their own compositions. There were a huge hit with atleast 50 of the band fans near on stage cheering them up. The band seemed young as they were a bit out of sync and were not as tight as the other bands in the concert. But they are surely a true band in the making. Myband needs to be acknowledged to provide platforms for such bands in order to boost their musical skills

The First Killer act was by Ankur Tewari and the Galath Family. Ankur onstage wits and crowd interaction surely made Hyderabad wanting to adopt him in the city. His originals and on stage performance made the crowd wanting more from him. Even the Rain Gods showered blessings on this band and the crowd returned in more post a 5 min break due to the drizzle. His closing act was a famous ad jingle “ Bajaj Bulbs” which had the crowd in total laughter

Today’s special from Bangalore provided the right tempo for the rest of the evening with couple of famous classic rock covers and few originals. This band had Shalini the only lady band member on the bass. Mickey with his energetic best was jumping as a true rock star. His interactions with the crowd had couple of them coming on stage and doing their jig with Mickey.

Rudrapassion from Delhi started with Hyderabad favorite singer Kailesh Kher’s tracks as covers. Due to the time and sound restrictions in the venue and the tempo set by Today’s special the crowd wanted Rock and Metal to carry on for the night.

As usual Evergreen from Kochi who are never a disappointment on stage, came with one of their best performance. The crowd who had waited so patiently through the evening were provided their earful with Jagan – lead vocalist and Sunil – lead guitarist energy and enthusiaism.
