Abiogenesis is a fusion band from Nagaland, India . Not satisfied with just playing mainstream music and their hunger to take music to a higher level, the band went further into exploration & experimentation which resulted in a new form of world music which they have named 'Howey' . . Howey is now Abiogenesis brand of music. It’s a fusion of folk tunes with various forms of modern music. They incorporate a part of the past and take it to the future through their music making giving an eclectic and genre-bending sound. They also play a new wind musical instrument made of bamboo invented by a band member Moa. Abiogenesis is the only band in the world that plays Howey & Bamhum. They also incorporate traditional musical instruments in their music. The band's action-packed shows and positive do-or-die attitude are already getting increasing notice around the world, they have performed in 500 plus gigs in India,Thailand and Myanmar.

Slice of Heaven is Abiogenesis 3rd album with the previous 2 albums being listed for nominations in the grammys. It’s Rock based but years of experimentation has given an eclectic genre bending tone to their sound. The songs are rare and uniquely crafted and yet melodic. Arenla's powerful vocals stands out through out the album. Daniel's guitar licks are no nonsense and stylishly awesome. The harmonica is played to the core by Moa, Daniel's tryst with the traditional instrument called Jews Harp in Himalaya South East( A part of the Medley) is exciting and of course, the Bamhum, the new wind musical intrument invented by Moa, a band member is played by Arenla and Moa to the frenzy giving an eclectic and genre-bending sound. Check 'em out, am sure you will love and cherish the experience to a new high!
