The Mechanix are a Bangalore/Chennai based band that have tried to merge the ideas of human innovation and ambience to the ever changing genres of metal. Formed in the earlier months of 2010, the tastes and varied influences of Auri (ex Progardin,Strophoid) , Varun ( ex Phootage, Innerskin) and Siva(bass **** (ex-Armor Of God, Kaashmora,Blind Image) came together culminating an experimental thesis of hardcore and technical groove metal. After auditioning Navneet(an impressive newbie in the metal scene) for vocals soon after, the band dedicated its time in making structured compositions of an ever changing essence. After Varun’s departure in late June 2010, Yadhunandan(Illuminati, ex Shamans) one of the most proficient drummers in the city filled in the drummers shoes for a year. Due to the band shifting bases to Chennai in 2011, Yadhu left and has recently been replaced by local skin slammer Vishnu (Crypted, Trojan Horse)
