Abhishek (Vocals/Lyrics/Compositions)
Abhishek is on the lead vocals for the group. He is learning music from distinguished vocalist of Delhi Gharana Ustaad Tanveer Ahmed Khan. He is the founding member of AMEYA and with the Band since its inception. Being the lead vocalist, He has great affinity towards Hindustani Classical Music and popular Hindi Rock music. Apart from doing Lead Vocals, He is into writing Lyrics for the group along with doing compositions. His constant effort while doing the music for the group is to bring as many different genres together in terms of lyrics and music styles. Engineering graduate from University of Delhi in Computer Science. Working as a Technical leader in a leading management consulting firm.
Arsh (Keys/Arrangement/Compositions)
Arsh is more into electronic and world music. He has won several international music competitions online and is a big follower of A R Rahman’s music. Be it Indian, Techno-Trance, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock, Folk – he just loves them all. He also, handles recordings and arrangement sections of the songs long with live electronics during shows. Arsh is an MBA in IT and has been working as a Software Project Manager in a leading Indian IT company.
Kabir (Lead Guitar/Compositions)
Kabir is the lead guitarist of the band. Guitar is the media through which he expresses his music. He is with Ameya for almost 6 years now. He loves all sorts of music and tries to compose experimental style of music. He is sure you all guys will find the taste of music from different genres as we are Ameya “boundless”.
He is deeply influenced by Rock music from groups like - Nirvana, Linkin Park and Deep Purple etc.
Engineering graduate from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Working as System Admin in a software firm.
Shiva (Percussion)
Shiva, the youngest member of the team is the strong percussion hands of AMEYA. He draws his influences from Indian Folk and Classical music. His amazing learning abilities to learn anything quickly is what makes him a special talent. He is professional percussionist and relies on music to support his family. He is regular session artist with likes of Master Salim and Hans Raj Hans.
Vikram (Bass)
Vikram is the latest import to the team. He is a big follower of English Rock bands and dreams to earn a reputed name as a bassist and musician in the music industry someday. His punchy and groovy baselines make the crowd go wild during live gigs.
Management graduate from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He is looking after a corporate network of leading IT firm.
Raghav (Drums)
Raghav, the drummer of the band has been playing for the past 7 years. He is a qualified drummer with Grade 8 degree holder from Trinity College of Music, London. He also teaches drums at his institute.
Along with all this, he runs a Jam Pad for new and established bands to practice.
Since Raghav is an experienced and learned drummer, the band can now experiment with lot of different styles and sounds which certainly is an added advantage to an original band like AMEYA.
Raghav also assist the band in there original compositions and certainly a strong key of the band now.
